Richard Herman, Esq., the principal and founder of the firm, is a nationally-renowned immigration
lawyer and commentator on immigration, global diversity and global business development.
Richard has appeared on FOX News (The O’Reilly Factor), National Public Radio, affiliates of
NBC, CBS, and ABC, and has been interviewed by numerous television and radio stations around
the U.S. He has appeared in USA Today, InformationWeek, PC World, Computerworld, CIO,

Exchange, Site Selection, Super Lawyers, and many newspapers and magazines around the U.S.
Richard is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law, speaks Russian, and is a
former resident of Moscow, Russia where he practiced law for nearly two years.

SPEAKING AND RESEARCH ENGAGEMENTS
Mr. Herman is a nationally recognized author and speaker on immigration, diversity issues and opportunities within a global/multicultural marketplace. As an advisor to nationwide think tanks, chambers of commerce, governments and foundations, Mr. Herman conducts research, implements advocacy and outreach initiative to promote greater understanding of the importance that internationals play in local economic development, and the need for communities to be welcoming destination for immigrant entrepreneurs, international technology talent, and foreign direct investment.
Mr. Herman is a leader in promoting new immigration legislation that would offer “distressed regions” in the U.S. an economic stimulus by encouraging knowledge-based companies, immigrant high-skill talent and entrepreneurs, to locate in those zones and accelerate job-creation and new-industry-creation for Americans. Mr. Herman has led this initiative in Cleveland, which has now expanded to 12 states and 30 Chambers of Commerce in the Great Lakes Region. Mr. Herman is the primary author of the immigration policy language contained in the recently-released Great Lakes Chambers of Commerce Business Agenda.
Mr. Herman is the co-author of the research paper, “In the New Global and Multicultural Marketplace, Immigrants Hold a Key to Revitalizing NE Ohio.”
